feel the fear Remember the Thoughts You Had Right Before You Got on a Rollercoaster?

Scary huh? But once you got on and got going on the ride, it became what?  Yup, that’s right, exciting!

I find myself in this situation right now in my life. I was released from my JOB on July 31, 2011, and at first it was a little scary. About 1 minute after I got the news, a sense of calm came over me because I had been preparing for this moment the past few years.

I have been involved in personal development and spirituality the past 4-5 years. This has been a very empowering experience and the only thing that has been holding me back from putting into action what I had actually learned was, my JOB. So when I first got word I was being released I was in shock for 30 seconds. Then right after this feeling went away, I was jubilant as my mind opened up to everything that was now possible since I have all the wisdom and knowledge I needed right inside of me to create a very successful business for myself!

At this moment, 3 months after being released, I am hosting my first Telesummit! Look here http://www.energyofsuccesssummit.com

And wouldn’t you know it, I feel like I’m about to get on a rollercoaster! You see, there is some fear involved in this process as my mind starts to play tricks on me like, who do you think you are by putting on a program like this? You are a nobody, and nobody will want to speak on your telesummit. You will not be able to attract the thousands of people you want to help! You do not have the instincts to even get up a website that will host your event?

Well, let , me tell you I have licked my mind so far. I have attracted over 20 expert speakers. I have a website, and I’m getting good response from people that have seen the speakers and the website. Three for me, zero for my mind! lol

My motto during this time is, “Feel the Fear, and do it Anyway!” I have an intention to help empower people during these times in our world’s history. I’m sharing myself with the rest of the world and I won’t be stopped!

So, Mr Mind, I appreciate your effort to throw me off course, and I know you are doing this because you think it’s in my best interest. I love and appreciate you, but at this time do not need your input so you can go on vacation for the rest of my life.

Just like the ride on a rollercoaster, my mind is telling me no but I know in the end the ride will be much more exciting when it’s over!

Please share this opportunity and sign up for the FREE online program to transform your life or someone you know when things seem to be going downhill in these crazy times.

Go to http://www.energyofsuccesssummit.com and get a load of the exceptional speakers I have attracted to the program.

Thank you

Good for you Eldrige! I love that saying – feel the fear and do it any. In fact one the first books I pick up when I need a bit of a morale boost is “Your Life is Waiting For You.” Wish you all the best with your summit and business!

I loved the friendly little chat which you had with your mind!

I cant count on my left fingers how many opportunities that I have declined because of my fears. its really a bad thing. it will eat you up and worst, destroy you.
I have high respect to people who have fears but still took the risk and jump on that roller coaster ride. after the ride all they can say was how scary yet very fulfilling the trip was. and I’d like to feel that. I think its about time to feel that. All the best with you business Eldridge!

    Hey Crescele,

I know how you feel. I lived with Social Phobia for twenty years, and it kept me stuck in my life. Now, I have it mastered by meditating and visualizing and even though I still feel some fear, I do what I have to do anyway and the fear seems to get less and less as time goes on.

    Just do it baby!!

    Hey Eldridge,
That like great news, thank you for being honest and human. We all go through tough times in our life, and it is how we take it all in that will shape our reality. I remember sitting at home wondering what am I going to do next. It was a dark place, but just like we have those deep thoughts that will try to bring us down. We also have those little candles of light that some how stay lit. They are always there it is only up to us if we choose to use them. It only takes a spark to make a fire. Keep in touch and I hope everything goes well for you. TTYL

    Hi Eldridge:

This is such a great post. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure it will help someone who may have lost their job or about to. You were so smart to have a back up plan and to have invested in yourself for 4 to 5 years. Nothing like knowing you have a Plan B when Plan A does not go so well. One thing I personally believe is that there is no job good enough to replace your dream. Congrats for stepping out and daring to live your dream!

Excellent post Eldridge and congrats on the J-O-B loss :) Oftentimes we know there’s more out there for us and our full potential is not being reached where we’re at but we sit there until somebody else forces us (pushing us out because we’re comfortable and we settle…) so it’s definitely a blessing. I love that quote “Feel the Fear, and do it Anyway!” That’s exactly it, getting out of our box, our comfort zone IS scary but like the roller-coaster ride, once you make the move – get on the ride and face our fears….. Man! there’s no stopping!!! So inspirational Eldridge – onward and upward!!!! Congrats!!!!

Your posts always fires me up. As I was reading your article, it came to my mind the numerous times when I had fear in my business. Fear of starting it, fear to people, fear of saying the wrong thing; but I did it all anyway. I am not perfect; am I improving? you bet. I keep learning it is about taking the risk on the things you are passionate about.

Bravo Eldridge! You’ve come a long way. That negative voice in your mind is what I call the critic. We all have it from our past experiences. The thing to do is to acknowledge it, identifying it as only a critic and go on. That’s what you have done. It takes some people years to learn this little trick, but you faced your fears.

We all feel that roller-coaster feeling when we are about to do something out of our comfort zone. Each time I get a new client, or have to speak in front of people it happens to me then it quickly goes away. Isn’t life grand?
    God Bless, Donna
