A total of 230 animal welfare organizations across the region have benefited from the Ocean State Job Lot’s second “To the Rescue” charitable program. Beneficiaries include municipal shelters, wildlife centers, rehabilitation farms and nonprofit rescue organizations within a short drive of OSJL’s 147 stores across the Northeast.

Each organization received at least one pallet of personal protective equipment, which included a mix of disinfectant, sanitizing wipes, and sanitizing spray worth between $1,130 and $4,000, depending on how much each organization needed, and $1,800 for an OSJL gift card for essential supplies including Pet food, beds, toys, chews, and cleaning supplies, which are items typically purchased through organizations’ operating budgets.

“The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, in partnership with our loyal customers, has a long history of helping those in need,” said David Sarlito, Executive Director of the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation.

“We discovered through surveying our clients that they wanted to support animal welfare in their communities, which led to the birth of our To the Rescue program. We are proud to partner with and support each of these organizations in their efforts to care, heal and protect animals in each of the communities in which they operate. Ocean State Job Lot”.
