Vishal Pashudhan Vyapar Mela gives boost to dairy farming in J-K’s Kathua

Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], 7th Dec (ANI): To promote the growth of animal husbandry activities in Union Territory, the Animal and Sheep Breeding Department organized “Vishal Pashudhan Vyapar Mela” at RP Check Post, near Lakhanpur District of Kathua District.
With this effort, the government will achieve self-sufficiency in milk production.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday in this regard, General Secretary of Animal and Sheep Breeding, Naveen Kumar Chowdhury, said, “This ‘mela’ is a wonderful initiative to promote dairy farming in the union territory and to strengthen the relationship between buyer and seller.”
“This step will greatly help Jammu and Kashmir to achieve the goal of achieving self-sufficiency in milk production,” he added.

Cooperatives Secretary Yasha Medjal was the guest of honor on this occasion and opened the mila with Chowdhury.
“Just like Punjab and other states, this tendency is regulated here. The animals that help in raising dairy are here. I hope the union district through this project will get enough milk production. I am happy that the government of Jammu and Kashmir has the government of Jammu and Kashmir has said the buyer Muhammad Sadiq” He made such an arrangement.”

“This initiative by the government will help save time and money for farmers who have to go out in other states to get quality livestock,” said KK Khajuria, another local attendee at the venue.
The Milla is organized by the Animal and Sheep Breeding Department and is the first of its kind where the buying and selling of multiple breeds of cows, buffaloes, sheep and goats is encouraged. (Ani)
