Watch St. Louis Driver Nearly Get Run Over By a Bull Elk

If you think humans driving vehicles in St. Louis is dangerous, just wait until you see the driver who was nearly run over by an elk. Yes, bull elk.

It’s not as brutal as it might seem. This person shared details on exactly how you end up in the part of the big city where Bull elk is located:

I ended up taking a scenic ride through conservation after my kids fell asleep in the car. I didn’t see many animals up close until I found a herd of 20 females. After the females passed, the male appeared and almost scratched my SUV.

I guess they took a ride through Lone Elk Park perhaps?

If you spend any time around an elk, you’ll learn that you never want to be between a bull and his ladies. They are quite protective males and take everyone and everything as a potential competitor especially during the crushing season.

The funny thing about Lone Elk Park is that there aren’t anything but lonely elk. Herds roam the park which is interesting, but perhaps a renaming would be better? Just thinking out loud here.

Note that Lone Elk Park has bison on it too and you definitely don’t want to be on the wrong side of bison rage in or out of the car.
